1. SHORT TITLE: These regulations have been framed and adopted by PSEB vide Notification No.1/DD/S/IV dated 9.3.1999 which reads as under: "In exercise of the Powers conferred by Section 49 and Sub-Section(j) of Section 79 of the Electricity Supply Act,1948 and other enabling provisions in this behalf in this Act, Punjab State Electricity Board is pleased to substitute Sales Manual and Abridged Conditions of Supply updated to 31.07.2004 with Sales Regulations and Conditions of Supply." These Regulations may be called the 'Sales Regulations'. These are intended to regulate the disposal of various matters relating to sale of electricity. 2. DEFINITIONS: In these Regulations, unless context otherwise requires, words ,expressions and phrases shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in The Indian Electricity Act,1910. The Electricity (Supply) Act,1948. The Indian Electricity Rules,1956 and the Conditions of Supply of Electric Energy by PSEB as amended from time to time. |
